Wynne Constrution are due to complete the construction of a new two storey teaching block at Ysgol Glan y Môr, based in Pwllheli. This £2.5m refurbishment is part of a scheme to enhance and extend a number of schools in Gwynedd County.

The scope of work incorporated demolition of the classrooms to the south of the School Hall and the construction of the new two storey teaching block and administration facilities. The corridor, which provides the link between the new facility and the existing building has also been refurbished. The work also included thermal upgrade and re-roofing of the existing flat roof and facade refurbishment to the kitchens and first floor accommodation.

The whole school refurbishment will be phased to reduce any disruption to the school and the pupils and to ensure that the school can continue to function effectively during the next twelve months.
