Coedpoeth Enterprise Centre: Wrexham
The scheme with the support of European URBAN II funding was to build the centre, now known as Plas Pentwyn, on the site of the old Penygelli Junior School.
The Coedpoeth Centre is part of a network of Centres across the West Wrexham communities aimed at promoting and increasing social inclusion and entrepreneurial activities. Facilities such as business units, educational/training faciliites, public meeting space, ICT suite and childcare facilities are promoted throughout the community.
Plas Pentwyn utilise sustainable energy features such as ground source heat pump, rainwater harvesting, solar panels, windcatcher and sunpipes.
