Wynne Construction collaborated with Conwy & Denbighshire NHS Trust and its consultants to successfully install these new facilities.

The new three storey steel frame structure was clad using composite panels and faced block work. The Catheterisation Theatre, new wards and associated facilities were housed on the ground floor, the new Clinical Training School was located on the first floor, and a plant room sited on the roof. The existing clinical library was extended above the Hospital’s Radiology Department.

The facilities demanded detailed coordination and integration of complex services, including system controls, heating and cooling systems, ventilation, medical gases, mechanical and electrical installations.

External works consisted of a diversion of the existing culvert, new drainage, car parking facilities, a fire access road, lighting and landscaping.
