This project was one of the most challenging schemes we have undertaken.

The work consisted of a three storey extension within an enclosed courtyard as well as an extension on the roof of the existing hospital to provide a new plant room. The contract also included the extension and remodelling of the first floor to provide new twin operating theatres and ancillary accommodation. Access was extremely difficult and the work involved careful planning and co-ordination of all activities to avoid disruption to the running of the hospital’s theatre services.

Planning and coordination of the mechanical and electrical installations including theatre control systems and medical gases were paramount to the success of the scheme and required a high degree of understanding and the expertise of our construction team.
