Anglesey County Council awarded the contract to construct a new build sports hall and associated amenities at Ysgol David Hughes, Menai Bridge for its students, staff and the general public.

The work consisted of a sports hall together with changing and shower facilities, exercise rooms, office accommodation, refreshment and reception areas.

The structure was created using a portal steel frame with insulated composite metal roofing panels. A fair faced coloured block was used to create the external walls, with cedar panel detailing. The envelope was completed using aluminium powder-coated doors and windows.

Mechanical and electrical systems were installed, and included heating and ventilation, an intruder alarm and CCTV. Associated works included an all weather sports pitch, a multi-user games area, car parking and landscaping works.
