Wynne Construction has been appointed to carry out the £6m refurbishment of the former North Wales Medical Centre in Llandudno to convert it intoa new Centre for the St Dunstan's organisation, the national charity supporting blind ex-Service men and women.
Work started on site in May 2010 and is due for completion by August 2011.
The St Dunstan's Centre at Llandudno is a registered site with the Considerate Constructors Scheme - Download the Site Code of Considerate Practice
The new Centre will provide rehabilitation and training, teaching independent living skills, such as getting around safely, navigating a kitchen and IT skills. It will also include specially adapted leisure, dining and accommodation facilities catering for everything from residential training weeks, to nursing and respite care.
