Wynne Construction was appointed by Wrexham County Borough Council to refurbish and transform the People's Market into a joint arts and market centre.
The £4.5m project involves he refurbishment of the building, which will include two galleries, one to national standards for the display of exhibitions and a number of performance spaces. Other features include a Shepherd's Hut (workshop space), new furniture/seating, and signage within the building.
A well-established gallery in the town, Oriel Wrecsam, is also relocating from the Wrexham Library building to a new home inside the People's Market. The revamped centre will also boast an educational area and food court and market stalls.
