Wynne Construction boasts a very extensive portfolio of completed projects in the primary and secondary school education sector working closely with Local Education Authorities and their partners.
Ysgol yr Hendre: Caernarfon
The new Ysgol yr Hendre is located at Cae Phillips and is set to deliver the very best learning environment for up to 450 pupils and provide a genuine focus for the local community. Wynne Construction completed the £9.3m design and build contract for Gwynedd County Council in February 2012, as part of the new 21st century school programme.
Ysgol Y Graig: Llangefni
Anglesey County Council took the decision to relocate an existing primary school from a busy industrial estate to a Greenfield site on the outskirts of Llangefni. The Education Department also decided to build the very first 'green' school on Anglesey and create a landmark development in both design and construction.
Rhyl Sixth: Rhyl
Rhyl Sixth is a new sixth form facility built at the Rhyl Campus for Coleg Llandrillo. The design of the facility was undertaken by Capita Symonds.
Eirias High School: Colwyn Bay
The new state of the art technology building was developed in partnership with Conwy Engineering and Design Services and JIG Achitectural to create a three-storey, steel framed extension to the existing school.
Holyhead High School: Holyhead
The refurbishment of Holyhead High School incorporated a number of key features including the construction of new kitchens and a technology block, alterations and remodeling of the existing school.
Ysgol Maes Hyfryd: Flint
Ysgol Maes Hyfryd is a new build Special Educational Needs secondary school designed to accommodate children with learning difficulties. The design of the school was undertaken by Flintshire County Council Design Consultancy and the contract procured through a single construction partnering arrangement.
Ysgol Pen Coch: Flint
Ysgol Pen Coch is a new build Special Educational Needs primary school designed to accommodate children with learning difficulties. The design of the school was undertaken by Flintshire County Council Design Consultancy and the contract procured through a single construction partnering arrangement.
Ysgol Glan Y Mor: Pwllheli
The project involved the construction of a two storey extension to Glan Y Môr secondary school in Pwllheli together with remodeling within the existing building. The £2.4m refurbishment was part of a scheme to enhance and extend a number of schools in Gwynedd County.
Ysgol Bryn Elian, Colwyn Bay
The building was developed from Conwy EDS's proposals and was designed to create a minimal visual impact on its surroundings. A fair faced coloured block was chosen to the lower levels, with the upper levels completed in insulated colour coated cladding. A dramatic aluminium arched roof completes the envelope and incorporates special aerofoil sections at the eaves to provide a soft edge against the hillside.
Ysgol David Hughes: Menai Bridge
Anglesey County Council awarded the contract to construct a new build sports hall and associated amenities at Ysgol David Hughes, Menai Bridge for its students, staff and the general public.
Coedpoeth Enterprise Centre: Wrexham
The scheme with the support of European URBAN II funding was to build the centre, now known as Plas Pentwyn, on the site of the old Penygelli Junior School.
