Sports, Leisure & Entertainment Projects at Wynne Construction
Our expertise in the world of leisure has enabled the development of many modern facilities throughout North Wales and the North West. Our work within this sector ranges from new builds to large scale refurbishments.
Porth Eirias Waterfront: Colwyn Bay
The Waterfront Hotspot project was awarded by Conwy County Borough Council to build a new single storey Watersports Centre, which will offer a cafe/bistro, educational and conference facilities, changing rooms, retail unit and workshop. The building will also include a rooftop viewing area, park and events space.
Parc Eirias: Colwyn Bay
Wynne Construction was contracted for the design and build project at Parc Eirias on behalf of Conwy County Borough Council, the Welsh Assembly Strategic Regeneration Area fund and the Welsh Rugby Union.
Royal International Pavilion: Llangollen
The Royal International Pavilion is an iconic building in Wales with a reputation worldwide for hosting music and festivals. The Pavilion is a year-round events, festival and conference venue, as well as being home of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
Ysgol Bryn Elian, Colwyn Bay
The building was developed from Conwy EDS's proposals and was designed to create a minimal visual impact on its surroundings. A fair faced coloured block was chosen to the lower levels, with the upper levels completed in insulated colour coated cladding. A dramatic aluminium arched roof completes the envelope and incorporates special aerofoil sections at the eaves to provide a soft edge against the hillside.
Connah's Quay Swimming Pool: Flintshire
Wynne Construction renovated Connah's Quay swimming pool on behalf of Flintshire County Council.
Ysgol David Hughes: Menai Bridge
Anglesey County Council awarded the contract to construct a new build sports hall and associated amenities at Ysgol David Hughes, Menai Bridge for its students, staff and the general public.
