Critical concreting operation in Menai Straits

Wynne Construction recently completed a critical concreting operation to protect an outfall pipe into the Menai Straits, North Wales.

The works were part of a larger drainage redevelopment scheme at The Conway Centre in Anglesey, which were undertaken on behalf of Cheshire County Council.

Utilising the services of Pennine Helicopters, we placed marine resistant concrete over the pipe which successfully completed this project.

This solution was proposed by Wynne Construction, following a landslide at tender stage and taking into account the treacherous tidal nature of the Menai Straits.

The project was carefully overseen by Steve Hickey - Health & Safety Manager, as shown in the adjacent picture.
