Wynne Construction has been awarded the £3.5m design and build project for Eirias High School by Conwy County Borough Council. The project involving the construction of a new three-storey teaching block, the demolition of the existing linked building and external works will be completed over the next twelve months.
Commenting on the project, Chris Wynne, Managing Director says: "We are delighted to have been awarded this project by Conwy Council and to be working in partnership with their team of Architects. The project will provide new and improved teaching and learning facilities at Eirias High School and continues our ongoing commitment and success in the education sector."
The scope of work incorporates the construction of a new three-storey block with the demolition of the existing building on completion. The school refurbishment will be phased to reduce any disruption to the school and the pupils and to ensure that the school can continue to function effectively during the next twelve months.
Alan Jones, Principal Building Surveyor with the Council's Engineering & Design Service said, "In submitting the winning Design and Build tender for this project Wynne Construction will continue their successful working relationship with Conwy County Borough Council."

This project adds to the portfolio of education projects for Wynne Construction which includes a recent contract award for Ysgol Glan y MÔr in Pwllheli.
