The achievements of Coleg Llandrillo's outstanding further education students were celebrated at a ceremony, hosted by world athletics star and television presenter Colin Jackson.
Colin was Master of Ceremonies at the College's Achievers Awards Ceremony 2014, which was held at The Arena, Venue Cymru, in Llandudno recently.
The prestigious event recognised the accomplishments of students across all campuses. The victorious students were nominated by their tutors and received their awards for one of two reasons: excellence or motivation & commitment.
Wynne Construction sponsored the award for Outstanding Motivation & Commitment for Construction, which was awarded to Carina Mundle-Garratt pictured here with Tim Davies (Wynne Construction), Colin Jackson CBE and Michael Jervis, Head of Construction at the Rhos-on-Sea Campus.
Coleg Llandrillo Principal Jackie Doodson said:
"Celebrating student successes is important for many reasons. They serve as a reminder to staff, managers, governors, local employers and other external stakeholders about the important work that we do here. Thanks to the generous sponsorship from the business community, these awards allow us to recognise the achievement of students who have done exceptionally well, inspiring current and future students. The victorious achievers were chosen from 16,000 students, which means that they have shown amazing talent, commitment, drive, determination and skill to be here this evening. Many congratulations to all the students on their achievements."
